After collecting the consultation fee, we’ll show up, measure, consult, and discuss details about heatable areas, appropriate tiles, and all other relevant issues before generating a custom quote for your consideration.
We’ll remove the toilet, vanity, and existing tiles before installing a Schluter decoupling membrane, installing Schluter heating cable, and a programmable thermostat on the wall in your washroom. After the cable is installed, we’ll install new tiles over the heating cables before reinstalling the vanity and toilet.
The thermostat can be programmed to turn on and off at specific times of the day, meaning that you can get very efficient heat from this product.
Keep the heat off all day if you’re not around, but heat the floors 15 minutes before you wake up, and turn the unit off when you know you won’t be home or in the washroom. Tiles are an excellent material for this option, as they conduct heat quickly and stay warm for a lengthy period, even after the thermostat has been switched off.
