How Tilewright Delivers Value For Our Customers

We’ve chosen to avoid installing plastic or linoleum panels, even though they’re much more profitable to install than tiled shower renovations. Good business, initially, but not over the long term.

After 35  years of learning, we know what works best- we’re comfortable with our tiled shower renovation offer.

We’ve also seen many examples of poor customer service over the years, and to avoid following a bad example, we’ve developed a better process.

Our customers deserve our best effort not just in terms of our product but also our service, so that’s what we’ll strive to deliver.

Tiled Shower Renovation

The Hard Truth About Plastic Panel Showers

Let’s address the plastic elephant in the room:  our competitors install ⅛-inch thick plastic or linoleum panels printed to mimic a tiled shower renovation. It’s fake!

They charge $12,000-$18,000 for materials that cost them $500-$700. Then they back it with aggressive warranties and impressive-sounding timelines because they know only gimmicks will sell such things. The value proposition isn’t just weak, it doesn’t exist.

Common Objections

But the plastic panels come with a lifetime warranty!
Our Response:
Read the warranty fine print. Coverage excludes caulking (the actual failure point), requires specific maintenance products, and depends on the company existing long-term. We’d rather build it right from the start than rely on warranty paperwork
Our Response:

Instead of forcing our production process into a rushed and suspect marketing gimmick, we offer an honest timeline for quality. In response to the question of 2 days vs 1 week, was 9 months too long to wait for your child to be born?  A desired and valuable outcome is entirely worth a few extra days.

Our Response:

The plastic panels can’t be repaired, only replaced. Since the printing process creates variations in the print runs, your replacement panel in a few years will likely look different than the one its replacing. If you should somehow manage to damage some tile, the tile can be removed and replaced with another. We always over-order 25 Sq ft of tile, for you to store in your furnace room, just in case.

Our Response:

So have we- a bad tile job requires almost as much effort to produce as an excellent one. So, why bother with poor quality?  You need to understand the mindset of a committed trades person. Each tile-setting project that he/she brings into the world is a direct reflection of him/her. There’s no way you’re going to receive a suspect product from such a person. We want to be involved with that sort of person for our projects.
